Rifts Gaming books

I have recently added two Rifts World Gaming and Palladium Books to my online store. I have Palladium Fanatasy Role Playing Game book, second edition for sale along with Rifts Japan World book no. 8. Both books are used but are in good condition.

The Palladium books is in near mint condition. This book doesn't appear to have ever been used by its previous owner. The was purchased from a gaming store that sold both new and used books. It is hard to tell that this book is used but it is. I current owner of this book but I know nothing about the book itself other than the condition. I do not know how the game works.

The Rifts Japan World Book 8 is also used but the condition of is not quite as mint as the Pallidium. It was also purchased at a gaming store among other used gaming books. However, this book was probably was used by the previous owner maybe not as frequent but it does show signs of use. The wear and tear of this book is limited to the front and back cover. Some of the corners have a slight bend but that is all. There is no damage to the inside that might alter any of the writings in the book. As previous mention I am the current owner of this book but I know nothing about this book other than what I've read.


Again I don't know anything about role play games. These books have been in my possession since 2005 and would like for them to find a home with someone who would make use of either books. I believe I have placed a fair price on both books. I will ship books via USPS Priority Mail. I will not only ship to anywhere in the United States but also Canada and the UK. I would consider adding any other country if I get enough response for either book.

The Palladium Fantasy Role-Playing Game is a game produced by Palladium Books. Friday 2nd of January

On the first day of January in the 2009 I decided to start blogging more. I saw the episode of Martha Stewart on Blogging which got me to thinking I really should blog more. Maybe just maybe it would help in my quest to make this year better. Like I said in my previous blog I have a list of small goals I want to fulfill. I will try my best to complete each task I have set forth.

Today was the first day I've been to work since the new year began. It seems like I dread getting up every time I have to work. I've been having this feeling since last summer when my hours got almost chopped in half. I thought the day started out good I wasn't late which was good because my cell phone is probably down to 2.00 dollars available for calling.

However I didn't do what I should have done at work. I was porter which basically means I have to check the bathrooms but I didn't do it while I was on door. I guess I sorta knew I'd get a write up for that. Then the GM who I detest with all the fiber of my being put down that I didn't properly do theater checks. The guy is just a jerk who thinks he's this super human we should put on a pedestal. So not only did I get two write ups on one sheet but I got movie privileges taken away for 60 days. I haven't told my brother who was looking forward to seeing a movie this weekend.

I've decided to take this 60 day opportunity to find a better job. I don't know how I'm gonna do it but I swear I will be gone before the 60 days. I deserve a lot of credit for staying at a company where I feel unappreciated everyday I work. No one should ever go to work feeling the way I do. I know a few people who left the theater only to land on their feet. I'm sure that will happen to me but I will continue to work everyday I'm scheduled knowing that one day soon I will say goodbye for good.

Earlier this morning I wasn't feeling good mostly having an upset tummy. It has since subsided.

Tonight my mom gave me the money to get an electric blanket for my bed because our house is so cold that I can't keep my bed warm. I'd been using a heating pad but after a while it would turn off. Now I can go to bed and stay warm through the night into the morning.

I got online tonight regretting what I had written to some guy only to find that he had sent me the most beautiful letter. It moved me to tears but they were tears of joy instead of sadness. I wrote him back telling him my story well at least an abridged version.

Tonight I sent an email to a local radio personality hoping that she might be able to steer in the right direction as I look for a new job. Maybe with some help I will find a better job that offers real benefits instead of crappy perks that can be taken away at will. I'm sure I will sleep better tonight in my new warm bed hoping that tomorrow will be better.

Happy New Year 2009

This is my first blog of the new year. Wow it's already 2009 how fast the previous year came and went. If I look back on my life in '08 I can see lots of ups and downs but mostly downs. I spent many nights crying more than any normal female is capable of doing. Never really had a serious relationship that year. Started online dating in the summer. Recently started using the Plenty of Fish dating service. Seem to be having better luck than Your Dating Spot. I didn't really fulfill any of my resolutions for that year so I've decided to make small goals or things I'd like to achieve in 2009.

I think the idea of making a list of resolutions is that you never keep them. Most people fall off the wagon almost a month or so after making the resolution. The biggest resolution I think people make is to loose weight. Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years are the holidays that sweets are most plentiful. I should know because I made my fair share of cookies this holiday season. I made 3 pies for Thanksgiving. Baking seems to be big the last two months of the year. Then like clockwork everyone makes a resolution to loose weight starting off the new year on a healthy note. I know that I am guilty of doing just that and usually fall off after a month or so. Usually around the first birthday I'm back to my old habits of thoroughly enjoying what I eat. I consider myself to be a foodie. I am also an emotional eater which is a really bad habit. They say bad habits die hard. I believe that to be true but I also think that you can change them to be good habits.

This New Year I've decided not to make any stupid resolutions that I know I won't probably keep. Instead I've decide on a few small goals to help me out of the ruts I get into from time to time. I've decided I'd rather try being healthy instead of trying to loose ninety pounds. I think there will be less pressure on me if I try loosing weight without really stating that is what I want to do.

Starting on or near the beginning of January 2009 I have decided to do the following:
1. Stop drinking pop or soda; only allowing myself to drink water.
2. Make a better attempt to find a NEW JOB with real benefits.
3. Attempt to exercise more than I did in the past year.
4. Try not to be so angry
5. Go out on a date
6. Cut down on the amount of sugar I eat
7. Learn to earn smaller portions.
8. Work on my back so it doesn't hurt as much.
9. Try to save more money.

I know this won't be posted on the first of January like I had hoped but its still at least close to the beginning of the month.

I hope everyone has a great new year because I think 2008 ended on a very sour note. Lets pray that we as a nation can recover to be more prosperous in 2009

Knitting Projects

I've recently picked up knitting as a new hobby. I use to knit but only your everday scarf nothing elaborate or practical. Recently I finished knitting a sock which really didn't take that long for me to complete but I'm procrastinating on the second one. Earlier this summer I made a wash cloth that had a tulip on it. That was really the first thing I made this year that was different. I also made a wash cloth with a dog on it. I even made one piece of seven for a tree skirt which has two cables going down the side. Saturday the 6th of December I finished knitting a mitten. I've not sewn it closed yet but I will. So far this year I've made two wash clothes, one sock, a mitten, and a piece of a tree skirt.

Ebay

Soon we will begin counting down the days to Christmas 2008. Shopping always seems to be a big hastle never being able to find the right gift.

This year why not take a look at Ebay shopping. No hassle and you can even shop in your pj's. No long lines; no searching for the correct size only to find they don't have anymore in stock. When you go shopping on Ebay you have a choice to you "BUY IT NOW" or "Place A Bid."

When you go to www.ebay.com you'll see tons of categories you can search in. But you will need to set up an account to use Ebay which is pretty easy and its really safe site.

If you decide to place a bid make sure you really know what you are bidding on. Ask the seller any question you might have about the item in question. A good Ebay seller is willing to answer any questions a potential buyer might have. Good sellers want buyers purchasing their items to have a wonderful experience. It's buyers who have great Ebay experiences that become repeat customers or who tell their friends about a particular seller.

If your a woman with a purse fettish know how hard it is to find that perfect purse for a great price. I have first hand expereince doing just that because I love Tommy Hillfiger, the older Coach purses, old style of Gucchi, and of course Dooney and Burke. I use to save searches for the brands I loved always searching for the one. I've found "THE ONE" serveral times only to get out bid. I finally did purchase a Tommy Hillfiger purse that had a "Buy It Now" option.

With such a wide range of things up for auction on Ebay potential gift giving has many options. I personally know of an Ebay seller who has a vast array of items up for auction some with the "Buy It Now" feature added. My friend's name is pudgypug2234. He currently has listed a variety of Yu-Gi-Oh playing cards most of which are rare and in mint condition. He also has listed a couple of original movie posters that once hung in a shadow box at a movie theater. The posters are in excellent conditon some may have minor damage only because they were handled. He is promising to add more posters. He has tons of posters he needs to get rid of.

If you have a movie conniseur on your shopping list this Christmas my friend definitely has some great posters that would please any movie buff.

Vote November 4th it is YOUR Right

Do you really know the person who you are voting for?? If you are gonna vote for BO/Biden let me tell you something. Has MSM told you anything about this man they call the Messiah or the Chosen One. The answer to that question is a resounding NO. MSM doesn't want you to know who this man really is because its goes against their principles of providing their view of fair political coverage. Since when did every television station local and national decide that it was their responsibility to protect its viewers from the actual truth. So its MSM and even some cable channels decision to distort the truth. I work at a university run television station and we never did anything like they are doing now. The Demogods are so afraid of conservative talk radio that they want to institute a fairness doctrine so as to make sure the truth is well hidden. See it is these conservative talk show hosts and cable journalists who believe the public needs to know the truth. I believe that I am a fair journalist and writer. I only want to seek the truth but every time I watch local or national news all I hear is badmouthing of the Republicans. When I listen to the Patriot Channel on Sirius Satellite Radio I get the truth without all the sugar coating. I'm sick of MSM they paint BO as a saint, as a hero, as "God" but he is noting more than a human whose associations with certain individuals goes unnoticed by MSM along with his lack of experience. Someone once said that its the people who you've associated with in your past that dictate your future. So what if he was only 8 when Bill Ayers and The Weather Underground blew up building. He still is a criminal that clearly believes they didn't do enough. He went to Trinty Church in Chicago where Rev. Wright was the pastor. A man who shouts racial epitaphs. Again BO claimed he never heard the Rev. say anything out of context. Do you really believe that bs because I can remember pieces of a sermon I've heard once upon a time. Accorn another name he's associated with. A group that registers people to vote more than once. A group synonymous with voter fraud.

I've not posted anything in a long time about the election. But as it draws near I need those dumb ass idiots who think that spreading the wealth is the next best thing to sliced bread they need to know the cold hard facts. If you work 100hrs every two weeks and the government takes 40hrs in its tax collection why would you want the government to take an extra 40hrs of your pay which means you'd only get paid for working 20hrs after taxes. I'm pretty sure if I worked that hard to earn that many hours I sure don't want someone who doesn't deserve the money to benefit from the sweat of my brow. If I'm working hard to support my family without government assistance then why do I want to give my hard earn cash to the government so they can distribute it to someone who doesn't think they should work hard. I work hard for the hours I do get and I sure don't want a welfare recipient with 3 kids benefiting from my hard work.

If I asked you for a dollar you'd probably give it to me but if I asked you for twenty you'd probably say NO. That is what this whole spreading the wealth is about. If you got extra money then you'll have to share it with someone less fortunate than yourself. So if you'd give me the buck but not the twenty even though you could afford to do so you really are voting for the wrong person. So if your not willing to part with that twenty dollar bill maybe you should reconsider your vote.

Oh and if you work outside the home; how many employees does your company employee?? A company with a pretty good size work force might have to downsize in order to stay in business with BO/Biden plan because they won't be able to afford to pay the salaries of its employees plus the extra tax that will be inflicted upon them by the government. If you work for a small company they might just close up because the tax will be too great for them to stay in the black. Now that the economy is really in a difficult place right now a new administration looking to tax those who work hard to make an honest living might just close up shop or downsize instead of creating more jobs. How can we expect companies to grow if you choose a candidate who wants to penalize them for helping the economy?? Unemployment in the state of Michigan is 8% which is 1% less then approval rating of the Congress. Right now finding a job is a difficult thing because there are so many people out of work. Big companies like Whirlpool are gonna lay off 3000 employees this year because they can't figure out how to survive. Chrysler and GM are both running into a major crisis. Foreclosures are rising everyday. I know from personal experience that its not easy to survive in this country without persistence and hard work. I work for a medium size company located primarily in Southeast Michigan. I'm sure they'd like to expand outside the state or even to the other side of Michigan but I'm pretty sure they don't want to risk it. Which is why I don't understand people when they tell me they are gonna vote for BO because why would you bet on a risky investment. Personally I want sound investment in my future. Which is why I'll vote for the Maverick ticket. He may be old but he sure has a hell of a lot more experience then the anointed one.

What is wrong with the Declaration of Independence or even the U.S. Constitution?? Did we forget about Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness!! Have we forgotten The Pledge of Allegiance?? Have we turned a blind eye to US history for the sake of stupidity?? No wonder countries like Japan have students that are far more advance then American students. They teach their students about their history are we so naive that we don't teach our students our history. I was born in 1972; the year that Nadia Comanche won gold medal in gymnastics at XX Summer Olympics in Munich Germany. It was also at that same Olympics that US swimmer Mark Spitz one his 7th gold medal. Apollo 17 became the sixth and last mission to date to land on the Moon on December 11, 1972. On Tuesday December 19th, Apollo 17, the last manned lunar flight, returns to Earth. Atari was release on June 27th of 1972. It was in 1972 that the Watergate scandal happens which forces President Nixon to resign from office or otherwise face impeachment. So please remember our history. Remember that this is a country founded on principles of democracy. The definition of democracy is: 1 a: government by the people ; especially : rule of the majority b: a government in which the supreme power is vested in the people and exercised by them directly or indirectly through a system of representation usually involving periodically held free elections 2: a political unit that has a democratic government. The founding fathers knew back then if they didn't come together there would be anarchy. They had already revolted against the British but this was a way to come together as a whole to create a new country free of bias. Why would people think they should rewrite this document or even burn it. Burning a document such as this or even the US Constitution is akin to burning the American Flag. Flag burning is a crime and anyone who is seen doing so faces punishment in the court.

So my closing thought is to really know who you are voting for on November 4th. Don't rely on MSM aka mainstream media. They all seem to show their support to the anointed one which isn't fair to the other candidates. Journalist should be fair and unbiased but in this election that is not at all true. Important things such as past associations get swept under the rug and any skeletons in the closet remain there. They pick on the wardrobe of a VP candidate when the other candidate leads a more extravagant lifestyle with his 1500 dollar suits and a 2 million dollar election party not to mention expensive hotel visits. Biden says we should be more Patriotic and I totally agree but I don't want the US Government in my daily life 24/7 365days a year. Government should govern and not run an individuals life. I've decided that being patriotic means voting for someone who is ready to lead this country into a promising future, someone who cares about where we are right now, someone who gives a damm about this country and the hard working individuals who make this country the greatest place to live. This is a land of opportunity. This is a country that accepts immigrants who seek political asylum because the country they left was either run by Communists or Socialists. Why would these individuals that risked their lives to cross the Gulf of Mexico for a chance of freedom from Communist Cuba to seek refuge in the state of Florida. Why would people from Kenya or any of the African countries want to vote for an individual who wants to take away their freedoms for the sake of an all controlling government?? If that's the case in both examples those individuals would have been better off staying in their countries except that they know the United States of America is the land of opportunity. We are the melting pot of the free world so why now do we feel like Socialism is the way to go. I say if you're gonna be Patriotic vote for McCain/Palin because they care more about this country then a do nothing senator from Illinois who has no experience just a lot of high priced backers.

It is you God given right as a citizen to vote on November 4th. As a woman the right to vote is twice as important because history dictates that once upon a time we were not allowed to vote. If it were not for people like Elizabeth Caddy-Stanton and her band of Suffragettes we would not be allowed to vote in any election.

Chronic Pain

In the Spring of 2003 as I was heading for the laundry room in my dorm I slipped on a wet landing thus hitting my back squarely into the edge of a step. I was a little shaken and sore at the time but I pressed through it with a smile on my face. I graduated in May of that year with no visible signs of pain from the slip. I had no idea that 5 years later the pain would emerge.

The beginning of 2008 I started having back pains. The pain started small and eventually got more painful. It seemed like I was having chronic pain but then again it only lasted for a little while eventually I was pain free or so I thought. First time it happened was early part of the year when there was snow on the ground.

The second time was around the beginning of Spring I think. I can't be too sure because I could swear it was farther apart but the body can play tricks with the mind. It might not have been the beginning of spring but it was spring. The pain was more definite this time. It was in the same general area as the first time. It lasted just as long as the first time which was weird. I've tried different ways to get this pain to go away. I usually lay on a heating pad or I sit on it depending on what I'm doing. I take a lot of OTC pain medicine. Sometime if I walk around for a bit the pain will subside but only for a little bit.

As of today I've been in pain again a total of 5 days I think. See the pain plays tricks on the mind. I've been hurting so much that I can't remember all that well. I can't stand being on the computer at my home simply because I don't have a decent chair to sit in. The longer I sit the sorer I feel and the tighter my muscles in my leg get. Tonight I was reading about back problems on the website back.com. I think I have neuropathic pain according to the diagram on back.com. My pain starts in my lower back and then travels down my left leg all the way to my toes on my left foot. As I was reading it I thought it was chronic but now that I think about it the pain doesn't happen all the time. If it happened more frequently I might think it was chronic but it has only happened three times.

I just never thought I would be spending my life in so much pain. I try to manage the pain as well as I can given my situation in life. I work at a job that doesn't offer insurance to its workers. I have to treat it the only way I know how. I take OTC drugs that do some good then I rely on a heating pad to do some work and in the morning I rely of hot water from the shower to do its part. All together I think I'm doing pretty good just getting by. But when I get to a point where the pills aren't working or the heat isn't doing its job then I get a little emotional. I cry a lot. I try doing something so my mind isn't connecting with the pain but that only last for so long. I try talking to other people. I talk about my pain sometimes that works because it brings the pain in perspective. But then again I've gotten to the point where my mom has suggested I go to the emergency room because the pain is so sharp. I just hope that going to a chiropractor all though it may not be who I need to see but she may be able to shed some light on my pain and what I should be doing.

I give a lot of credit to people who can manage their own pain without help from the medical profession. I just feel that this pain is far beyond my control. I decided to write this blog as a way to redistribute my pain. I figure if I talk openly about it maybe someone else will let me into to their life of pain. I think that I will have to live the rest of my life with some type of pain just maybe not to this degree.
